If you read no further, please read the following 2 points:

A) When you click on Live Dashboard for the first time, it will log into Facebook and Facebook will ask you several questions.  One is that LoyalShops Live Assistant would like to Post on Facebook for you.  You need to choose “Public” from the drop-down menu or Live Assistant will not be able to comment back on a Page.

B) Live Assistant can comment back to a customer in a Page, not but to a Group.  This is because Facebook removed the ability for any application to comment back in Groups in Nov’17.  If you go Live on a Page, you can Share / Simulcast into a Group and both the Pages and Groups can then see commenting.Below is step by step instructions for the first time startup.

First Time Instructions

You can use Live Assistant from either www.LiveAssistant.shop or Loyalshops.com if you have the Pro Version of  LoyalShops Loyalty Rewards Service.  These are different websites and log ins, so please make sure your logging in at the right location.  Live Assistant Standard is included with your LoyalShops Loyalty Rewards Pro Service.  If you have our Loyalty Rewards Standard Service, just upgrade to Pro in Settings / Subscriptions to have access to Live Assistant.  For new customers that just want Live Assistant, you can subscribe to this service stand alone at www.LiveAssistant.shop for $9.99 a month or $99.99 for the year.  No obligations and you can pay month to month or by signing up to a year, you get two months free and if you cancel at any time, you will get a prorated refund on yearly subscriptions.

1) Prep - Due to a recent change by Facebook. Live Assistant cannot comment back to your customers in a Group (Live Dashboard still works fine as well as Sales History).  A Business Page has no issue with both Live Dashboard and commenting back.  The best practice is to start your Live and Live Assistant from your Business Page and Simulcast with Live Assistant into your Group as well.  When you do this, commenting on Live Assistant will be seen in both your Page and your Group.

It never hurts to practice any new tool with a test page (instead of in your shopping page).  If you decide to create a new page, please note that Live Assistant needs at least one video to be on the page or group to work.  So ensure there is at least one video on your Page or Group.  Any video will do (make a 5-second Live video and save it or post any video) for example.

Live Assistant can run along with your Live on a PC or Mac.  If you use Phones or Tablets, you will need to run your Live on one and Live Assistant on the other device.  Live Assistant can run on any modern web-enabled device.  As Live Assistant uses large fonts, it even works great on the small screen of a phone.  This way, you can use a larger screen like a Tablet or Notebook to run your FB Live so it's easier to read all the comments from your customers on the larger screen.

2) Quick Start

Go to the Live Dashboard page.  When you first get there, you will see the LoyalShops Start Live Assistant Screen.  Click on the FB Live Icon to continue. The first time you hit this button, you will be logging into Facebook to give permission for Live Assistant to run your Pages and Groups on your behalf.  Log in with your Facebook credentials, choose to Continue as "your name", Then, when you see the LoyalShops Live Assistant would like to post to Facebook for you, please use the pull-down and choose "Public"

3) Turn off any power management/screen savers that will cause Live Assistant to go to sleep.  If it's asleep, Live Assistant won't respond.

4) START LIVE ASSISTANT

After following the Facebook approvals, you will see the FB Live Icon & Start Live Assistant page.  Click on the FB Live icon to proceed.  It will take you to a page to choose your Streaming Location (An FB Group or Page you have administration rights for) and then choose "A new live stream".  This will take you to the Live Dashboard - Now Live Assistant is ready and waiting for you to start your LIVE on that page or group you choose earlier.  Keep Live Assistant page up and running throughout your LIVE.  Without the Dashboard being up and running, the Live Assistant will not respond.  So with the page open, begin a Live Stream in the Page or Group you choose in Live Assistant.  The Live Assistant will post an initial Comment with Sales Instructions (these instructions can be changed in the Settings page.  Also, when this comment comes up, this will reassure you that Live Assistant is up and running correctly.

5) Running a LIVE with Live Assistant

Once your Live is Up and Running, and you have seen the initial Comment from Live Assistant, you are ready to go.  BTW, the initial comment post is fully configurable on the Live Assistant Page.  Now, as your customer comment during your Live, Live Assistant will be looking for the three Keywords Sold, Pass & Help.  The first customer to state Sold and an Item Number will claim the item and it will be listed at the top of the Live Dashboard as well as will be commented to the customers that the FB User has claimed Item Number.  If a second person tries to claim the item, it will also respond that they are on the wait list in case it becomes available, the customer's name is now listed as runner up #2 Red Ribbon and is told in a comment they didn't get the claim, but could if #1 Passes.  Finally, additional requests are noted in case there is more than one, or the initial two customers are not interested claiming the item.  The new claims are always at the Top and significantly larger font.  This is done so you can easily read a new sale from a presentation distance.  As new claims come in, they will be streamed below the latest claim.  At the top of the page is a set of gears.  This will let you change the Group or Live Source (New Stream, Current Stream or previously recorded stream).  You would pick a new Stream when you wanted to setup for an upcoming Live Sale.  If you needed to start Live Assistant after the beginning of the sale or in case of a problem, you can choose "The Current Stream", and finally, if you pick an already posted stream, it will review the Stream, skip the comments it's already processed and pick up any new Sold & Pass Comments to determine if anything new has been claimed.  Those new entries will then be added to the History Page for that session.  This is useful to post a Live and allow customers to "Shop the Replay", then you can run the Live again on that Replay to see if you captured additional sales.  Then go to the History page and look for non-invoiced new entries.   If you leave your Live Assistant running after your live is over, you will see the red LIVE sign on Live Assistant goes to a green REW sign.  Live Assistant is now watching the posted file and responding on both the Dashboard and into the comments for additional customer claims.  One caveat to this situation.  Facebook doesn't allow Live Assistant to real-time post the comment for the user to see.  So for example, a customer writes SOLD 123 on a posted Live (not live anymore).  If Live Assistant is still running in the Green REW mode, it will list the Sale on the Live Dashboard.  It will respond to the customer in the posted Live.  But the customer will need to refresh their stream to see the actual response.
